In the United Kingdom, Remembrance Sunday is held on the second Sunday in November which is the nearest Sunday to the 11th November (Armistice Day). This is the anniversary of the end of the hostilities of the First World War at 11 a.m. in 1918 and commemorates the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts.

On the 13th November 2011 the Herefordshire FA have changed game start times and all the teams playing will pay their respects by one minute silence before kick off.

FC Phoenix would like to say, "Our hearts go out to all the men and women who lost their lives in action and our thoughts go out to their families". We would also like to say, "thank you to all the armed forces that look after us and our country every day".
