FC PHOENIX U12’S v LEOMINSTER MINORS U12’s

Sunday 9th October 2011 Home Game KO 10.30am

RESULT 3-0

WOW! What a performance from FC Phoenix today. The last time we played Leominster we were 4-0 down at half time and had to fight our way back in to win and get us to the finals at Edgar Street. Today we were not going to let this happen again and right from the starting whistle we pushed them back into their own half.

Azzo and Braderz controlled the back whilst Powler De-Lap ran up for nearly all the long throwing’s. Wilffy helped in midfield and allowed Lewwy to push forward and help Goupghy up front. Dazzo’s strength providing a backbone in the centre to let the other lads play some great football. Great football indeed was seen as Gouphy saw and made a brill pass to Ols thus creating a perfect one touch goal.

Jaytee, Jimster and Troyster also put some impressive moves together as the ball was passed; weaving in and out of the Leominster players. These moves created a goal as Jimster put his foot right through the ball and put it passed the keeper. Tommo also got his name on the score sheet again so well done to him for getting 3 goals in 3 games! The rest of the midfield created his way through and onto goal making the Leominster goal keeper look very frustrated.

Meds had one incident as the ball shockingly bounced passed him and into the net from a throwing, lucky for us nobody else had touched the ball so the goal never counted. He didn’t have too much work to do and apart from the one shaky moment he kept his concentration and did his job well when needed to.
