Bromyard U12’S v FC Phoenix U12’s

Sunday 25th September 2011 Away Game KO 10.30am

RESULT 1-4

Our passing was crisp with some great attacking play. Then twelve minutes into the second half Tommo made his debut and thirty seconds later he got his debut goal. What an impact! All the FC Phoenix players ran to him to celebrate his joy.

We can’t take anything away from the other players though, Azzo, Braderz, Powler and Wilffy all did their part in defence and handled very well the numerous counter attacks from Bromyard. Braderz got his name on the score sheet as well as he lobbed the keeper from close to the halfway line!

Other goals came from Gouphy and Troyster bringing the tally to four. Bromyard scored a great goal and credit has to be given to them as they continued to press us for more but our defence and midfield players coolly  passed the ball back out to attack.

A bit of an unfair advantage was gained by Bromyard as the Bromyard senior side were walking passed the pitch on the way to their pitch and they all shouted for a corner kick when the ball clearly had not crossed the line. The referee had no reason not to believe that many people shouting! Excellent stamina prevailed though as we cleared the corner and completed the victory.
